What is germinated teeth?

Germinated teeth, also known as double teeth, occur when a single tooth splits into two or more crowns. This happens during the development of the tooth and can be caused by genetic factors or environmental factors such as trauma or infection. Germinated teeth may appear larger than normal teeth and can cause problems with tooth alignment or spacing. Treatment may include orthodontic intervention or, in severe cases, extraction of the affected tooth. Germinated teeth are relatively uncommon, affecting less than 1% of the population.
